The vibrant energy of the Katong neighbourhood, which unites Peranakan culture, an active lifestyle, and the ambiance of a historic shophouse, served as the inspiration for the i12 Katong murals. The two characters are depicted in the drawings as appreciating the local cuisine and lifestyle, along with an easter egg that reveals what the word "Katong" actually means added to honour the location's past. The artwork's curved arrangement is intended to resemble a wall covered in large stickers.
